Not a bad day yesterday. M and I walked around a bunch, did some erranding, read, napped, went out to a new sushi place. We then went to the local cigar bar and wound up chattering about politics with a new friend until the sushi, my lunch, and some 12 year old MacCallen staged an all points exit. ("When did I have corn?") Feeling better now - it's a beautiful 55 degree day - a rare and treasured thing for me down here. This cup of coffee is ever so slightly steaming and the part of me that wants to die of exposure on Mt. Washington is delighted with the temperature.

Hrm... checking work email. Receiving message 231 of 2861. Methinks a server has the plague.

http://www.rei.com/adventures is a really good site. Not just because of the content, but because of the way the content is presented. From an information design, "fewest clicks to the info you want" standpoint it does a really good job of letting you figure out what trip fits your needs. Many of them look like fun, but many of the non-technical ones look a little touristy. Some, like this surprised me. Last time I was in NH, winter expeditions were not available.

Anybody have a favorite exotic location vacation site?
