So I had another million dollar idea over the weekend. As a followup on SimCity and Railroad Tycoon and Civ, a game that was a sim for a national election campaign would be a huge hit. SimCampaign would need to build algorithms for how voting groups behave. That is, a matrix ranking of a voter's stance on various issues and the contribution each issue makes to the final vote. A candidate would have to manage money, media buys, aggressiveness in certain communities and with different voter groups, and how to spin their message. A complicated version of SimCampaign would let you run as an incumbent, run in time of war or economic upset, or run in an alternate electoral system.

There you go, Sid Meier, send me a free copy of SimCampaign and we'll call it even.
